Undergraduate research
I currently work in the Superconductivity and Amorphous Solids lab at the University of Cincinnati. The lab is managed by Dr. Punit Boolchand (pictured left). I began work with Dr. Boolchand my freshman year at UC. This lab work is important and interesting to me. So far, my involvement has mostly been helping the Ph.D. students with the ongoing experiments. I have co-authored one paper so far, and it is set to be published soon in the Journal of Chemical Physics. The title of the paper is:
Crucial effect of melt homogenization on the fragility of non-stoichiometric chalcogenides.
I am on track to head up a project of my own starting this summer. We will likely be investigating a new binary system. Our research is involved in tracking the glass transition of these different systems.
