About MeI am a sophomore in Electrical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. Currently I am involved with UC Rowing, Engineering Ambassadors, undergraduate research, and the University Honors Program. I came to UC because of the excellent co-op program and all the opportunities to join different interesting clubs and organizations. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends and doing Cross Fit workouts with some of the other rowers. After college I plan to become an Air Force Pararescue Jumper, and after that hope to work in power distribution. I believe that by improving smart grid technology and making improvements in fossil fuel technology, we can greatly reduce our carbon footprint and make electricity more universally available at cheaper prices. My other goals include climbing Mt. Everest, competing at the Olympics, and writing a novel.
The University of Cincinnati Honors Program has helped me prepare for these goals primarily by helping me network with other honors students and faculty members. It is much easier to get input for new ideas and help to accomplish goals when you have a larger network of friends to pull from. This ePortfolio showcases my efforts so far towards accomplishing my goals. I plan to use Honors experiences to further my goals of meeting more new people and getting new ideas on how to spread electricity to parts of the world that do not have it yet. |
